The FLIR i34 gives you 320 × 240 thermal resolution and the iXX app platform for everyday equipment, electrical and building checks. It’s the entry resolution in the range and is suited to teams that can upload over Wi-Fi and don’t need LTE in the camera.
Choose the FLIR i34 for:
The FLIR i35 has the same 320 × 240 resolution and measurement range as the i34, with built-in LTE for uploading and sharing data away from Wi-Fi. Choose it when connectivity on site is the deciding factor, rather than higher thermal resolution.
Choose the FLIR i35 for:
The FLIR i64 steps up to 640 × 480 native infrared resolution, recording four times as many thermal pixels as the i34 and i35. Its finer 1.4 mrad spatial resolution helps distinguish smaller features within the same field of view. It does not include built-in LTE.
Choose the FLIR i64 for:
The FLIR i65 combines 640 × 480 resolution with built-in LTE. It is the strongest fit in the range when teams need both greater target detail and a direct connection from the field.
Choose the FLIR i65 for:
All four iXX cameras use the same 38° × 49° thermal field of view, so from the same position they capture approximately the same area. Resolution determines how many thermal pixels describe that scene:
The i64 and i65 record four times as many thermal pixels. This can make smaller details easier to distinguish, but the right choice still depends on target size and working distance.
The i35 and i65 include LTE; the i34 and i64 do not. LTE is useful when the camera needs to send images or inspection data from sites without Wi-Fi. If your workflow already transfers data over Wi-Fi, choose between models based on resolution and temperature range instead.
Clear answers to the most common questions about choosing between the FLIR i34, i35, i64 and i65.
The i34 and i35 have 320 × 240 resolution; the i64 and i65 have 640 × 480. The i35 and i65 add built-in LTE. The higher-resolution i64 and i65 also measure up to 550°C, compared with 450°C for the i34 and i35.
The i35 and i65 have built-in LTE. The i34 and i64 do not.
Yes. The thermal camera uses fixed focus and has a 0.5 m minimum focus distance. The visible-light camera is 8 MP with autofocus.
No. The iXX models have a fixed thermal lens with a 38° × 49° field of view.
The i34 and i35 cover −20°C to 200°C and 10°C to 450°C. The i64 and i65 cover −20°C to 200°C and 10°C to 550°C.
Yes. iXX supports FLIR connectivity, including Assetlink and Ignite. The i35 and i65 can also use built-in LTE; the i34 and i64 need Wi-Fi or another available connection.
It can be, particularly for routine checks of larger targets at close to moderate distances. For smaller components, dense scenes or more detailed reporting, the 640 × 480 i64 or i65 gives you more thermal pixels to work with.
Not necessarily. If Wi-Fi covers your inspection workflow, the i34 or i64 may be suitable. LTE is most useful when you want to upload or share findings directly from locations without Wi-Fi.
