Faults and warranty
The FLIR E54 is covered by FLIR’s manufacturer-backed limited warranty.
Register your camera with FLIR within 60 days of purchase to activate the following cover under its 2-10 warranty programme:
Without registration within the required period, FLIR’s standard one-year limited warranty applies. Cover is subject to FLIR’s warranty terms and exclusions.
If a fault develops during the applicable warranty period, contact hello@coreytechnical.co.uk with your order number, product serial number, a description of the issue and any supporting photographs or video.
Corey Technical will manage the process on your behalf, including assessment and repair or replacement where covered by the warranty. We will explain the next steps clearly and keep you updated throughout the process.
All returns, warranty assessments, repairs and replacements must be authorised in advance to ensure safe transit and the most efficient possible resolution.
Standalone operation
The E54 operates as a standalone professional thermal imaging camera. You can capture, review, annotate and store thermal images directly on the camera without connecting to a computer during the inspection.
Images are saved as radiometric files with temperature measurement data, so findings can be reviewed, analysed and reported after the inspection.
Analysis and reporting software
FLIR Thermal Studio Suite provides desktop tools for reviewing thermal images, analysing temperature measurements and preparing inspection reports. Available features depend on the selected software edition and licence.
For cloud-based image storage and sharing, the E54 supports FLIR Ignite through Wi-Fi connectivity. Images can be uploaded from the camera to help keep inspection files organised and easier to share with colleagues or customers.
Inspection routes and on-camera reporting
The E54 supports FLIR Inspection Route, helping maintenance teams follow planned inspection points and keep records organised by asset. This is useful for repeat checks across panels, plant rooms, motors, pumps and building-services equipment.
On-camera reporting tools include voice annotation, GPS tagging, on-screen text and sketch notes, helping you add context to inspection images before they reach the reporting stage.
METERLiNK
FLIR METERLiNK allows readings from compatible FLIR test and measurement instruments to be used alongside your thermal inspection data via Bluetooth. Depending on the connected instrument, these can include electrical measurements or environmental readings.
Combining measurement data with thermal findings gives clearer context for fault assessment and reporting. A compatible FLIR instrument is required and supplied separately.
Software accounts, licences or subscriptions may be required for particular apps and services.

The FLIR E54 is built for electrical contractors, facilities teams, maintenance engineers and building-services professionals who inspect varied equipment and need clearer thermal evidence than the E52 provides, while working mainly with a standard 24° lens.
It combines 320 × 240 thermal resolution, manual focus, MSX image enhancement and a 650°C upper measurement range. That makes it a strong fit for inspecting distribution equipment, motors, pumps, pipework and building-services assets where smaller components or busier scenes call for more image detail.

The FLIR E54 combines 320 × 240 infrared resolution, manual focus, MSX image enhancement, Wi-Fi connectivity and a −20°C to 650°C measurement capability. It suits electrical, mechanical, facilities and building inspections where the person reviewing the findings needs to see both the heat pattern and the equipment involved.
What is MSX?
MSX adds visible-light edge detail from the built-in camera to the thermal image. It helps make components and their positions easier to recognise without replacing the underlying thermal data. On a crowded panel or plant installation, that added structure can help you associate an abnormal heat pattern with the correct component.
See more detail in busy scenes
The E54’s 320 × 240 detector captures 76,800 thermal pixels, compared with 43,200 on the E52. The extra resolution is useful when you need to distinguish smaller components or examine several assets within one image.
Focus clearly on the target
Manual focus lets you adjust the image for equipment at different working distances. It helps produce clearer evidence when moving between nearby connections, larger machinery and assets across a plant room.
Cover routine and hotter maintenance checks
The E54 offers two measurement ranges: −20°C to 120°C and 0°C to 650°C. This covers everyday electrical, mechanical, HVAC and building checks, with additional headroom for hotter equipment.
Organise findings after the inspection
FLIR Inspection Route helps structure repeat checks. Voice and text annotations add context on site, while FLIR Ignite and Thermal Studio support image storage, review and reporting.
