Returns & Refunds Policy

Last updated: 2 September 2026

This Returns and Refunds Policy explains how cancellations, returns, faulty goods and refunds are handled when you purchase from Corey Technical Ltd, trading as Corey Technical.

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

1. CONTACT US BEFORE RETURNING AN ITEM

Please contact us before returning any product:

Email: hello@coreytechnical.co.uk

Telephone: 07533 952 969

Please include:

  • Your name and company name, if applicable;

  • Your order number;

  • The product you wish to return;

  • The reason for the return; and

  • Photographs or video where the product is damaged, faulty or incorrect.

We will review your request and provide return instructions and the appropriate return address.

Some products are fulfilled directly by a manufacturer or supplier. The correct return address may therefore differ between products. Please do not send a product to our registered office or directly to a manufacturer unless we have instructed you to do so.

Returning an item without contacting us first may delay its identification and the processing of your return.

2. CANCELLING AN ORDER BEFORE DISPATCH

If you wish to cancel an order before it has been dispatched, contact us as soon as possible.

Where cancellation is possible, we will confirm it by email and refund any amount due to the original payment method.

Some equipment is ordered, configured or prepared specifically after an order is placed. This does not remove a consumer’s statutory rights unless a lawful exception applies, but it may affect whether a business customer can cancel an order.

If an order has already been dispatched, it will normally need to be handled as a return.

3. CONSUMER RIGHT TO CANCEL

This section applies when you are a consumer purchasing online for purposes wholly or mainly outside your trade, business, craft or profession.

You normally have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days of the day on which you, or a person nominated by you, receives the goods.

For an order containing multiple items delivered separately, the cancellation period normally begins when the final item is received.

You must notify us clearly of your decision to cancel before the 14-day cancellation period expires. You may contact us by email or use the model cancellation form at the end of this policy.

You do not need to give a reason for cancelling.

After notifying us, you must normally return the goods within a further 14 days.

4. EXCEPTIONS TO THE CONSUMER RIGHT TO CANCEL

The statutory right to cancel may not apply to certain goods, including goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised.

Some specialist thermal imaging equipment may be supplied in a particular configuration. A choice between standard product or lens options does not automatically make an item bespoke. If we consider a product to be made to your specifications or otherwise exempt from the cancellation right, we will make this clear before the order is placed.

The cancellation right may also be affected where sealed software or sealed digital media has been unsealed, where applicable.

These exceptions do not affect your rights where goods are faulty, damaged, misdescribed or otherwise not supplied in accordance with the contract.

5. BUSINESS CUSTOMERS

The statutory 14-day cancellation right described above does not apply to purchases made wholly or mainly for business purposes.

Returns by business customers for change of mind, incorrect specification or surplus requirements are accepted only where agreed by Corey Technical in writing.

Acceptance may depend on:

  • The manufacturer’s or supplier’s returns terms;

  • The condition and packaging of the product;

  • Whether the equipment has been registered, activated, configured or used;

  • Whether the product or lens was obtained specifically for the customer;

  • The time elapsed since delivery; and

  • Any reasonable return, inspection or restocking costs imposed by the supplier.

We will explain any applicable conditions or deductions before authorising a discretionary business return.

This section does not affect a business customer’s contractual rights where goods are faulty, damaged, misdescribed or incorrectly supplied.

6. CONDITION OF CHANGE-OF-MIND RETURNS

You may inspect a product in the same way that you reasonably could in a physical shop.

For a consumer cancellation, we may reduce the refund to reflect any loss in value caused by handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish the product’s nature, characteristics and operation.

Where possible, returned products should include:

  • The original product;

  • Lenses, batteries, chargers and supplied accessories;

  • Cases, straps, cables and protective components;

  • Manuals and documentation;

  • Original internal and external packaging; and

  • Promotional or complimentary items supplied with the order.

Products should be returned securely packaged and protected from damage in transit.

Before returning equipment, please remove any personal, customer or commercially sensitive data and sign out of any associated accounts. We are not responsible for information left on returned equipment except to the extent required by law.

7. RETURN DELIVERY COSTS

For a consumer change-of-mind cancellation, you are normally responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods unless:

  • We have agreed to pay the return cost;

  • The goods are faulty, damaged, misdescribed or incorrect; or

  • The law otherwise requires us to bear the cost.

Professional thermal imaging equipment can be valuable and fragile. Returns should be sent using a suitable tracked and fully insured delivery service. You remain responsible for the goods until they are received by the authorised return location.

If goods are faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied, we will provide reasonable return instructions and arrange or reimburse appropriate return costs where required.

Business return costs will be handled according to the return terms agreed with us.

8. FAULTY, DAMAGED OR MISDESCRIBED GOODS

Please contact us promptly if a product:

  • Arrives damaged;

  • Develops a fault;

  • Is not as described;

  • Is not fit for its intended purpose; or

  • Is not the product or configuration ordered.

Please retain the product, all accessories and all packaging while we assess the issue.

We may ask for photographs, video, serial numbers, diagnostic information or a description of the fault. This helps us identify shipping damage, provide technical support and determine the appropriate remedy.

Depending on the circumstances and your legal rights, the available remedy may include:

  • Technical assistance;

  • Repair;

  • Replacement;

  • A price reduction; or

  • A full or partial refund.

Consumers have statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. These rights are separate from and additional to any manufacturer’s warranty.

For information about warranty support after the initial return period, please see our Warranty & Faults page.

9. DAMAGE OR SHORTAGE ON DELIVERY

Please inspect the external packaging and equipment as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

If packaging appears damaged, photograph it before opening the parcel where practical. Please also photograph any damage to the equipment and retain all packaging.

Report visible damage, missing items or an incorrect delivery to hello@coreytechnical.co.uk as soon as possible. Reporting a problem promptly helps us raise it with the courier or fulfilment partner.

Any requested reporting period is intended to help us investigate the delivery and does not remove or reduce your statutory rights.

If a parcel appears to have been lost in transit, contact us so that we can investigate with the carrier.

10. PRODUCTS RETURNED AS FAULTY

Returned equipment may be inspected and tested by Corey Technical, the manufacturer, an authorised service provider or another appropriate technical partner.

If testing confirms a fault, we will provide the remedy required under the applicable contract and law.

If no fault is found, or if the issue results from excluded damage or misuse, we will explain the findings. For business customers, reasonable inspection, collection and redelivery charges may apply where permitted by the contract and confirmed to you.

Examples of matters that may not constitute a manufacturing fault include:

  • Accidental or impact damage;

  • Liquid, contamination or environmental damage outside the product specification;

  • Misuse or operation contrary to the manufacturer’s instructions;

  • Unauthorised repair, modification or disassembly;

  • Damage caused by incompatible accessories or power supplies;

  • Normal wear and tear; and

  • Failure caused by inadequate storage, transport or maintenance.

This does not affect any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. REFUNDS FOR CONSUMER CANCELLATIONS

Where a consumer validly cancels the entire order, we will refund:

  • The price paid for the returned goods; and

  • The cost of our least expensive standard delivery option, where delivery was charged.

If you selected an enhanced or expedited delivery method, we are not required to refund the additional amount above the cost of standard delivery.

We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods or you provide evidence that they have been returned, whichever occurs first.

Refunds will normally be issued within 14 days of that point.

If only part of an order is returned, the original delivery charge may not be refundable where it would have been incurred for the retained items in any event.

A deduction may be made where the value of the goods has been reduced by handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect them.

12. REFUNDS FOR FAULTY OR INCORRECT GOODS

Refunds for faulty, damaged, misdescribed or incorrectly supplied goods will be made in accordance with your applicable statutory and contractual rights.

Where a full refund is due because goods do not conform to the contract, reasonable standard delivery and return costs will also be refunded where required.

13. HOW REFUNDS ARE PAID

Approved refunds will normally be issued to the original payment method.

Bank and payment-provider processing times are outside our control, so the credit may not appear immediately after we issue it.

If the original payment method is no longer available, please contact us. We may need to complete additional identity and payment checks before using an alternative method.

We will not normally refund money to a different person or organisation from the original payer.

14. EXCHANGES

We do not operate an automatic exchange service.

If you require a different camera, lens or accessory, please contact us. Where appropriate, we will arrange a return and help you place a separate order for the correct product.

Price differences, availability and lead times may apply to the replacement order.

15. MANUFACTURER WARRANTIES

Manufacturer warranties are additional to, and do not replace, any applicable statutory rights.

Warranty periods and conditions vary by manufacturer and product. Details may be shown on the relevant product page and our Warranty & Faults page.

A warranty claim may require inspection, diagnosis or return to the manufacturer or an authorised service facility.

16. ITEMS SENT DIRECTLY BY A MANUFACTURER OR SUPPLIER

Some orders are delivered directly by an approved manufacturer, distributor or fulfilment partner.

You must still contact Corey Technical regarding any cancellation, return, delivery problem or refund. We will coordinate with the relevant partner and provide the correct instructions.

Do not return an item to the address shown on the original shipping label unless we have confirmed that address for the return.

17. REFUSED AND UNDELIVERABLE DELIVERIES

If delivery is refused without prior agreement, or cannot be completed because the delivery information supplied is incorrect or incomplete, the parcel may be returned to the sender.

We will contact you to discuss redelivery or cancellation. Business customers may be responsible for reasonable delivery, return and handling costs resulting from an unjustified refusal or incorrect delivery information.

Consumer refunds and deductions will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

18. CHARGEBACKS AND PAYMENT DISPUTES

Please contact us before starting a chargeback or payment dispute so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve the matter.

Nothing in this section prevents you from exercising any lawful right to dispute a payment or seek assistance from your card issuer or payment provider.

19. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our products, fulfilment arrangements, business practices or legal requirements.

The latest version will be published on this page with a revised “last updated” date. The policy applying to your purchase will be considered alongside the terms and information provided when your order was placed.
