Software, support & downloads

Standalone operation

The G61H operates as a standalone professional thermal imaging camera. You can capture, review, annotate and store thermal images directly on its 4.3-inch touchscreen without connecting to a computer during the inspection.

Images are saved as radiometric JPEG files containing temperature measurement data. With a removable 64 GB microSD card, the camera has capacity for approximately 60,000 images, allowing inspectors to document extensive maintenance work before transferring files for analysis.

Analysis and reporting software

HIKMICRO Analyzer provides desktop tools for reviewing radiometric thermal images, examining temperature measurements and preparing professional inspection reports.

The software is available without an additional licence purchase, giving contractors and maintenance teams a way to analyse and present findings without immediately committing to a paid reporting subscription.

For mobile working, HIKMICRO Viewer allows compatible camera images to be transferred and shared using a smartphone or tablet. This is useful when findings need to be discussed with a colleague or sent to a customer before a formal report is completed.

Inspection routes and on-camera reporting

The G61H supports HIKMICRO Inspection Route, allowing maintenance teams to work through planned inspection points and keep findings organised by equipment or location.

HIKMICRO Inspector can be used to prepare inspection routes on a computer, helping teams standardise repeat surveys across electrical panels, motors, pumps and other critical equipment.

On-camera documentation includes voice notes up to 60 seconds, text notes up to 200 characters, GPS location information and compass data. These features help preserve context that might otherwise be lost between the inspection and the final report.

Connectivity and remote viewing

The G61H supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, USB-C and HDMI connectivity.

Radiometric video can be streamed over UVC or Wi-Fi for compatible viewing and recording workflows. This provides additional flexibility when thermal imagery needs to be monitored or analysed away from the camera's own display.

The integrated laser distance meter also measures target distance, helping inspectors record working distances and configure measurement parameters more accurately.

Software functionality and compatibility can depend on the installed firmware, application version and connected device.

Main advantage Combines wider scene coverage with high native resolution for examining complex high-temperature equipment. Captures more of a large furnace, production line or industrial installation from the same position. Concentrates more detector pixels on smaller or more distant industrial targets. Greatest optional magnification for detailed inspections from extended distances.
Main drawback Less scene coverage than wide-angle optics and less distant-target detail than telephoto lenses. Smaller components occupy fewer detector pixels at the same working distance. Narrower coverage makes large nearby equipment harder to capture in one image. Very narrow coverage demands careful aiming and makes larger targets harder to frame.
Best suited to Industrial process engineers, reliability specialists and thermographers inspecting complex production equipment. Engineers examining large furnace installations, machinery groups and restricted industrial spaces. Inspectors assessing elevated process equipment and distant components where closer access is impractical. Specialist thermographers inspecting small distant components where spatial detail is critical.
Typical inspection work Furnaces, kilns, heated machinery, industrial process equipment and electrical installations. Large heated process areas, industrial plant rooms, equipment groups and extensive machinery. Elevated pipework, heated process components, overhead machinery and restricted-access targets. Small distant furnace components, elevated equipment and targeted industrial inspections.

High-Resolution Thermal Evidence for Extreme-Temperature Inspections

The HIKMICRO G61H combines 640 × 480 native thermal resolution, temperature measurement up to 2000°C, 50 Hz imaging and interchangeable optics. It is designed for engineers investigating industrial processes where both the extent of a temperature anomaly and its precise location matter to maintenance and operational decisions.

What is SuperIR?

HIKMICRO SuperIR enhances captured thermal images from 640 × 480 to 1280 × 960 pixels, improving the presentation of edges and fine thermal patterns.

It does not increase the number of physical detector pixels, but can make inspection images easier to examine and present when documenting complex machinery and industrial processes.

Capture more detail across large industrial assets

With 307,200 native thermal pixels, the G61H captures 78% more pixels than the G41H.

Its 25° × 19° standard lens retains the same 0.68 mrad spatial resolution as the G41H's narrower standard lens, allowing inspectors to capture a wider installation while maintaining fine target detail.

This is particularly valuable when examining temperature variations across furnaces, heated production equipment and complex industrial assemblies.

Inspect difficult targets from practical working distances

Laser-assisted, continuous, automatic, manual and touch focusing help maintain image sharpness as inspection distances change.

The included 25° × 19° standard lens combines relatively wide coverage with fine spatial detail. Optional wide-angle and telephoto lenses provide flexibility for larger installations and smaller or more distant components.

Measure extreme temperatures without a specialist camera change

The G61H measures temperatures from −20°C to 2000°C, covering conventional electrical and mechanical inspections alongside demanding industrial process applications.

Its extended temperature range is built into the camera, rather than requiring a separate high-temperature lens.

Adjustable emissivity and environmental compensation settings help account for conditions affecting measurement accuracy. Suitable measurement techniques remain particularly important for reflective surfaces, hot gases and extremely high-temperature materials.

Build detailed evidence for engineering investigations

Radiometric images, configurable measurement tools, Inspection Route, GPS information and voice and text annotations help engineers document the temperature and location of abnormal conditions.

HIKMICRO Viewer and Analyzer support image transfer, further analysis and reporting, helping maintenance teams investigate findings and compare equipment condition across repeated inspections.
